Remarks

8/9/06 The apparent distal fragment of a narrow, but tapered, pointed, and smoothed groundtone tool - possibly a hammerstone fractured and reused as a grinding implement. The possiblty fractured end also appears to be somewhat smooth, however, and the tool may in fact be whole. One face of this instrument has been abraded flat (remains unsmoothed), perhaps representing the most active face of the object. This would suggest more of a grinding tool.
