Shoulder of a medium-to-small indeterminate LM vessel--probably a jar. The decoration schema consists of a single circumferential furrow, followed 2.5cm lower on the shoulder by a two registers of nail incisions separated by a single furrow. The nail incisions run upper right to lower left and average 1.34cm in length. Both furrows are a little over 3cm in width. There are some light fabric impressions on the exterior surface and negligible rotational striations visible on the interior surface. The is also a slight area of dark corrosion on the exterior surface. In addition to the medium sand noted above, fine and coarse sand inclusions are also present in the fabric in significant quantities. High frequencies of these inclusions perforate the interior surface, in contrast to the smoother exterior. The interior surface also features several pecks and or small burnouts. Pyrite particles are visible in all surfaces at high frequencies. Breaks are rough.
