A small handmade LB jar ("press pot") recovered from the northern baulk topsoil of AB1 during cleaning. The vessel is complete, save the rim and two thirds of the neck. The decorative schema consists of an inconsistent application of circumferential two circumferential incised lines. The lines average .58 mm in width and are spaced 4.02 mm apart. They are sometimes solid lines and sometimes dotted. There appears to have been some external polish at some point, but not enough to record conclusively here. The surfaces are mottled with 30% 10 YR 4/2 Dark Grayish Brown. Band 5 (not available here) is Black GY1 2.5/N. The exterior surface features extensive pitting, burnouts, and generally inconsistent smoothness. In addition to the coarse sand, moderate frequencies of very coarse and fine sand are visible in the fabric. Breaks are hackley.
