Medium size LB jar or bowl. The decorative schema on the shoulder consists of a single circumferential incised line, but there is faint evidence for a second and even a third line placed superior to it--a loosely applied comb decoration? Approximately 40% of the original exterior polish has abraded away. The exterior surface is heavily mottled with Light Brownish Gray 10YR 6/2. Intense rotational striations are visible on both surfaces, including a very deep circumferential incision on the lower shoulder. Delamination is visible between all the core bands, moderately compact fabric, and there are potentially 5 bands, not 3, as one could identify two additional bands interior and exterior to band 2. In addition to the coarse sand noted above, very coarse and medium sand particles also present. Very limited frequency of pyrite particles visible in the exterior surface. There is moderate perforation by sand particles of the internal surface. Breaks are rough.
