A fragment from a small (7cm diameter), black KA beaker--so small it may perhaps be a cup. The interior color is listed as Very Dark Gray, but it is actually mottled with 20-30% Red 10R 5/6. The exterior surface color is much more uniform. The decoration schema consists of two registers of oblique and vertical hatches bounded by 3 narrow furrows (0.15cm)--1 above the registers, 1 below, and 1 in between them. The hatching is made up of groups of parallel vertical hatches with oblique hatches mixed in at an apparently random manner, some of them penetrating the furrows, participating in both registers of decoration. While the core band 1 color is listed as Dark Reddish Gray 10R 3/1, it is actually 4/1. There are horizontal polishing marks visible in high frequency on the exterior surface and on the first 1.6cm of the interior surface below the rim. The remainder of the interior surface includes minor evidence of rotational striations. Dominant inclusions are medium sand, but fine sand is also present in good amounts. The breaks are rough, no corrosion visible.
