A gray KA beaker with extremely mottled exterior and interior surfaces. The exterior is mottled with significant amounts of Reddish Brown 5YR 4/3 (~30%) and the interior is mottled with ~40% Very Dark Gray GY1 3/N. The single register of ornamentation on the vessel neck consists of a wide zigzag decoration (approx. 0.32cm) bounded between two 0.16cm wide furrows. The zigzag is filled with oblique hatches and punctate decorations. Outside the zigzag, in the triangular spaces created by the furrows, are other oblique hatch and punctate ornaments, in no apparently organized pattern. The preserved rim is extremely abraded and chipped, but enough to remains for good approximations of rim diameter, shape, and thickness (three very large chips). Burnishing marks on the exterior are horizontal and high in frequency. They continue 2.7cm onto the interior surface, before beginning to alternate with unpolished 1cm wide bands of surface. Whether this constitutes the original decoration or is a result of abrasion/weathering is unclear. The exterior surface is 30% covered in scratches (from trowels?). Medium and fine sand are present in large amounts in the fabric, in addition to the coarse sand grains mentioned above. Breaks and rough, no significant visible corrosion.
