A black KA beaker with a gray interior and a Reddish Brown (5YR 5/3) superior rim surface. The double register of decoration on the vessel's neck consists of a row of upside down, or downward pointing triangles, loosely rendered and filled with oblique hatches, above a row of vertical and oblique hatches which resemble compartments containing oblique hatches. 3 furrows frame the ornaments--they are positioned above, below, and between the two registers. Dense amounts of horizontal polish lines are visible on the exterior vessel surface, continuing 1.75 onto the interior surface. The remainder of the interior surface features horizontal rotations striations. While coarse sand is noted as the dominant fabric inclusion, medium and fine sand inclusions are also present in significant amounts. All surfaces are 10% covered in pyrite pops. The superior rim surface is moderately abraded, perhaps from use, and perhaps the reason for the reddish brown coloration. The interior polish is circumferentially abraded, perhaps from formation, but more likely from use. Breaks are rough and there is no significant visible corrosion on the sherd.
