Remarks

A fragment from a medium-sized EB vessel jar, neck and shoulder portion here, but only a tiny portion of the inferior neck. The decorative schema consists of a smattering of different decorations covering the entire sherd: oblique lines on the neck and shoulder, a possible morphic fragment, and indications of a spiral. The lines average 0.25 cm in width and are spaced on average 0.3 cm apart. The exterior appears to have been highly polished at some point, with significant amounts of it now abraded off. Moderate amounts of circumferential rotational striations are visible on the interior surface. A significant interior undulation can be felt on the interior side and the wall shows clear slab lamination. The exterior surface features limited amounts of light gray dendritic accretion, while the interior features black staining, 20%. In addition to the fine sand, medium and coarse sand inclusions are visible in the fabric. Breaks are rough.
