Remarks

Designated MAE228--radiographed, XRF, SAXS. An undecorated fragment from a small, collar short-necked LM jar. There are traces of a likely circumferential line or hatch decoration on the superior shoulder, but too little is preserved to conclusively identify (there is a large chip). Chips are also present over 20% of the external neck (upper right). Dense circumferential rotational striations are visible on all surfaces. The exterior surface features limited amounts of light gray and light brown dendritic corrosion, the interior highly limited. In addition to the fine sand, limited frequencies of medium and coarse sand are visible in the fabric. Moderate frequencies of inclusions perforate the interior. Breaks are rough.
