Designated MAE199--radiographed, XRF, SAXS. A fragment from a small LM vessel. The decorative schema consists of two circumferential zig-zag lines, followed by a single circumferential applied cord decoration, and then a single circumferential zig-zag decoration. The visible zig-zags average 0.3 cm in length and 0.29 cm in width. The cord decoration averages 0.65 cm in width, but too little of it is preserved to measure the impression lengths. Dense circumferential rotational striations are on all surfaces. The exterior is 40% mottled with Dark Gray 10YR 4/1. In addition to the very fine sand, significant amounts of medium and coarse sand are visible in the fabric. Both surfaces feature moderate frequencies of perforating inclusions and pyrite pops. Breaks are hackley.
