Remarks

Designated MAE203--radiographed, XRF, SAXS. A shoulder fragment from a small LB vessel. The decorative schema consists of a polish web pattern on the superior shoulder followed immediately by four circumferential incised lines on the lower shoulder, leading up to the sherd break. The intersecting web polish lines average 0.12 cm in width. The incised lines average 0.21 cm in width and are spaced on average 0.35 cm apart. In addition to the fine sand, moderate amounts of coarse sand and occasional pebbles are visible in the fabric and perforate both surfaces, the interior to a much higher extent. The interior also features high frequencies of pops, chips, and eroded areas. Breaks are smooth.
