Designated MAE243--radiographed, XRF, SAXS. Shoulder fragment from a medium-sized LM vessel. The decorative schema consists of a single circumferential furrow measuring 0.82 cm in width. The furrow edges are pushed up far enough to resemble applique, and one has chipped and crumbled, but it is likely tool-produced. A second furrow may follow immediately inferior, but that is across the sherd break and impossible to confirm. The most superior portions of the external surface feature limited polish remnants, suggesting that the exterior may have originally been polished. Dense circumferential rotational striations are visible on all surfaces. In addition to the fine sand, significant frequencies of medium, coarse, and very coarse sand are visible in the fabric. Both surfaces are moderately perforated by inclusions and pyrite pops. Breaks are rough.
