The inclusions in this sherd likely consist of equal amounts of coarse and medium sand. The exterior and interior surfaces of this sherd are highly eroded, eliminating most traces of burnish from the sherd exterior. The shoulder decoration consists of a difficult to define diverging line framing a set of oblique hatches on the superior side. On a technological note, one can actually feel the transition between overlapping clay slabs on the interior sherd surface (and see it in the fracture edge!) of this sherd. SAXS analysis conducted at ANL on 3/16/06. Designated MAE 625.
