Not enough of the interior and exterior surfaces preserved to stance this sherd (at all!). There are numerous very coarse sand inclusions throughout the fabric. Laminated clay layers evidence the slab technology, especially the red exterior slab. Burnish is significating abraded off almost half of the exterior. Very slight linear traces are impressed into the interior surface, perhaps from a basket mold or textile. SAXS analysis conducted at ANL on 3/16/06. Designated MAE 626.
