Designated MAE174--radiographed, XRF, SAXS. Fragment from a small LB vessel. The decorative schema of what appears to be a severely abraded polish web pattern on the superior shoulder and a single circumferential incised line place just below it, on the inferior shoulder, just above the b transition. Would a fully confirmed web pattern make this group D? The full original web decoration may have taken up as much as 2.7cm of vertical shoulder space. The circumferential incised line measures 3.6cm in width. Circumferential rotational striations are limited to the 1cm vertical area just below the external rim, perhaps suggesting that smoothing occurred (differently?) on all other surfaces. All surfaces appear rather eroded/abraded with significant amounts of perforating inclusions and pyrite pops. The interior features limited amounts of light gray dendritic corrosion. In addition to the coarse sand, significant amounts of medium sand are visible in the fabric and surfaces. Breaks are rough.
