MAE103--radiographed, XRF, SAXS. A fragment likely belonging to a large LB storage jar or pithos. The decorative schema features 3 bands of applied chord-like decorations spaced 1 to 1.5 cm apart. The exterior surface is 35% encrusted with pale yellow corrosion. Dense circumferential rotational striations are visible on the exterior surface, and limited amounts on the interior surface. The exterior surface is heavily mottled with Weak Red 10R 5/4 and the interior surface is mottled with Very Dark Gray GY1 3/N. The exterior color should be Weak Red 2.5YR 4/2. In addition to the fine sand, significant amounts of very coarse sand (black particles) are visible in the fabric, particularly in core band 3. Breaks are hackley.
