Designated MAE108--radiographed, XRF, SAXS. A b/bd fragment, likely from an LB jar, with a single band of characteristic circumferential oblique hatching encircling the outer perimeter of the base. The hatches average 1.5 cm in width and are spaced on average 0.5 cm apart, placed adjacent to one another. Dense circumferential rotational striations are visible on the exterior surfaces and interior body surface, while the interior base surface features fewer frequencies. Some smoothing marks cross the interior b/bd boundary. The exterior surface is highly mottled (50%) with Black GY1 2.5/N. Highly limited amounts of light yellow corrosion are visible on the exterior base. In addition to the medium sand, significant frequencies of fine and limited frequencies of coarse sand particles are present. All surfaces feature highly limited frequencies of pyrite pops. Breaks are rough.
