Remarks

This sherd appears to have been burned is a secondary fire or used very aggresively in a cooking/processing context until rendered unusable. The sherd exterior is highly cracked as commonly results from burned contexts. The inclusions consist of both coarse and very coarse sand grains. The color of corse bands 1 and 3 is in fact 2.5YR 2.5/1, but that choice is not currently available. Designated MAE 651.
