Designated MAE195--radiographed, XRF, SAXS. A sizable fragment from a medium sized LB vessel. The decorative schema consists of 5 circumferential incised lines placed on the inferior shoulder. They do not appear to be comb-applied because of the consistency and attention paid to each. The superior 3 lines average 0.24cm in width and are spaced 0.5 cm apart on average. The inferior 2 lines are narrower and closer together, measuring 0.17 cm average width and spaced 0.25cm apart. The external polish is both highly abraded and still rather shiny. The spaces within and between each incised line feature significant missing circumferential polish/slip. The external body features circumferential scratch and polish marks as well as uneven undulations in the wall. Moderate circumferential rotational striations are visible on the interior surface. Both surfaces feature limited amounts of light gray corrosion. In addition to the medium sand, significant amounts of coarse sand are visible in the fabric, and moderate amounts perforate all surfaces. Limited amounts of pyrite pops are visible in all surfaces Breaks are rough.
