    Remarks

    The form of this sherd suggests a a classic Kura-Araxes tri-partite beaker/cup, black on black, often with embossed decoration. Excellent luster on this cup. The horizontal polishing marks are evident on the exterior and on the first 3 centimeters of the interior surface. Below that point the polish may have abraded due to use. Designated MAE 654.
