Remarks

There are several visible grains of very coarse sand mixed in with the medium sand (10%?). While there is only one true core band, both the interior and exterior surface slips are highly visible in section, a light brown clay applied to both surfaces. Polishing marks are very small in size and not highly visible. There is moderate corrosion on the exterior surface, but not on the interior. SAXS analysis conducted at ANL on 3/16/06. Designated MAE 655.
