Remarks

This two part tim is slightly confusing: the first part is an essentially flat rim lip and the second part rounds down to the neck. It's not really indented and it's not really 'rounded.' Very nice luster still preserved on the exterior and significant amounts of polish evidence are visible on the interior (in sequential bands). Polishing marks on the exterior are excellent, mostly horizontal, with possible vertical activity on the neck. While the fabric contains mainly fine sand inclusions, there is 10% membership of very coarse sand grains. SAXS analysis conducted at ANL on 3/16/06. Designated MAE 601.
