Remarks

Core color should be 5YR 3/2 Dark Reddish Brown. Interior color should be 7.5 YR 6/1 Gray. This represents another LB cup--I still can\'t decide if they are restricted or unrestricted. I also don\'t understand how the vessel body is produced with a darker, shinier surface than the shoulder-to-neck portion. Perhaps if they\'re fired upside down, the higher portion received more carbon gloss? The shoulder seems to hold annular polish lines from the carbon gloss technique. While the inclusions consist dominantly of medium sand, there are very coarse sand and even grit inclusions evident. All polishing lines on the exterior are horizontal and interior marks are all horizontal.
