This sherd is designated as a jar fragment because there is a hint of the beginning of curving neck portion on one end of the sherd, suggesting its overall form. While the dominant listed inclusions are coarse sand, there are pieces of grit and very coarse sand visible in the breaks. Portions of the exterior surface are highly abraded, although enough polish preserves to show the entire exterior surface was polished with horizontal strokes. The zig-zags have a very low frequency of repetition. The interior surface is highly roasted with much of the interior slip cracked and/or removed entirely. This may have occurred during the Gegharot conflagrations. There is no visible mica popping and the exterior surface is 10% covered in light yellowish brown corrosion.
