Fragment has a very dense, compact fabric. The sandwich appearance of the the core bands suggest rather thick slips which fired to a very different color than the core. The inclusion in the slips and core do not seem to significantly differ, however. There are lots of polish traces on the exterior surface, but they are fragmentary, significantly abraded off the surface. The interior surface is covered with rilling or textile/fabric impressions suggesting some rotational activity during formation. The marks run parallel to the exterior decorative registers. Limited mica popping on both surfaces and negligible light yellowish brown corrosion.
