A small KA beaker consisting of 3 joined sub-fragments and a good deal of gypsum between the constituent pieces. At the 'left' side of the exterior another crack is threatening to separate a fourth sub-fragment. The entire piece accounts for approximately one sixth of the original vessel. The decoration schema consists of a single incised line at the n/s transition and a set of geometric and zoomorphic embossed designs on the shoulder (typical KA 'bird' and spiral) that likely continued onto the body portion of the vessel as well. The exterior surface is slightly mottled on the body and rim with Dark Gray 5YR 4/1 colors. While the surfaces are listed as unpolished above, there is a limited amount of dark reddish gray 5YR 4/2 shiny material on the interior neck, but this may have been produced by the abrading activity of a lid. Limited dark brown corrosion covers 5% of the interior and exterior surfaces. Very fine pyrite particles are visible throughout both surfaces, but there is no 'popping' to note. Some feint circumferential striations are noticeable on both surfaces, mostly hand-wiping. Breaks are rough.
