This is an LB jar, but not an enormous one. Neck is essentially non existent. While the core is listed as a single black color, there is some gray mottling and variation towards in the internal surface. Temper includes some coarse and very coarse send grains in addition to the medium sand grains which dominate. While the extant polish on the exterior surface is clearly a horizontal polish ornament, it doesn\'t preclude the rest of the vessel from being polished as well. Horizontal scratch markings on the internal and external surfaces suggest rotational action during formation. Some mica popping on both surfaces, no corrosion to speak of. Breaks are rough. There is some abrasion evident on the rim from use.
