This is listed here as a body fragment, but without many orienting characteristics could easily be a shoulder fragment. The light brown external surface is covered with firing clouds or burning marks, as external carbon suggests this vessel was in the Gegharot destruction levels. While the compact fabric is dominated by fine sand, there are numerous coarse sand and grit inclusions visible in the breaks and poking through the external and internal surfaces. There are horizontal impressions on the exterior surface, perhaps from a basket or textile. The contrast between the two core elements is so great that there is even slight delamination visible in the breaks, kind of like a KA vessel. 20% of the external surface is covered with black and white corrosion. Breaks are smooth. Mica visible on both surfaces.
