A less frequent, but characteristic LM fragment fired in a partially oxidized atmosphere. This has left both surfaces and most of the internal core reddish brown, with the external core black. I still don\'t understand exactly how these split cores result. The zig-zag and line decoration seem to have been incised with the same tool, but slight delamination shows that the cord decoration was applied. While most of the inclusions consists of medium sand, larger and smaller particles are also present, with several grit fragments visible in the internal surface. Widely distributed mica popping on the external surface. There are basket/textile impressions on the internal surface and rotational striations on the external surface. Some black discoloration on one section of the external surface may be a firing cloud. Breaks are generally smooth.
