This trapezoid-shaped rim sherd is actually double-indented, which suggests lids of two different sizes can be used to close it. While the neck is conical and concave, it is almost vertical enough to be cylindrical and straight. 40% of the external surface has spalled off, leaving only the highest neck portion closest to the rim. There is a good deal of abrasion on the rim, but not to much to properly stance the sherd. White corrosion covers 90% of the external and 75% of the internal surfaces. A band of red color left on the external rim surface (because of abrasion?) is not located on a logical contact surface and may have been produced post-depositionally. Rotational striations are visible on the internal surface only--to much corrosion on the external. Breaks are smooth, no substantial mica visible.
