The convex base and annular lines on the external surface indicate that this is an LBA sherd.Base diameter is an estimate because the sherd includes almost half of the vessel base. While the breaks appear to include well-sorted fine sand, the similarity between very coarse sand and grit fragments and the rest of the fabric obscures these larger inclusion particles which are visible poking through the internal and external surface. While the surfaces are both listed above as black, they are highly mottled with 5 Yr5/3 Reddish Brown. No corrosion or mica popping to note.
