Remarks

R/s fragment from an LM neck-less (jar) vessel. While the rim is noted above as "rolled," bent is perhaps more accurate, seeing as the rim does not completely tuck under itself. Some extra clay at the r/s intersection was not cleaned away before firing and was therefore preserved at the junction. There is a slight indent at the base of the exterior rim, but not enough to be coded as "indented." No ornamentation visible, although the more superior portion of the shoulder is ever so slightly indented. Not enough of the sherd is preserved to accurately measure rim diameter. The interior very dark gray surface is highly mottled with Light Brownish Gray 10YR 6/2. In addition to the fine sand, moderate frequencies of medium sand particles are also present throughout the fabric. Interior surface mottling may be due to corrosion or destruction level burning. Circumferential rotational striations are visible on all surfaces. Breaks are smooth.
