A red-on-red LM sherd from a restricted vessel with a neck of medium length (jar). No ornamentation present. Unlike many gray-on-gray or gray/black sherds, this vessel features no rotational striations. However, there are numerous horizontal (moderately skew), shallow, linear impressions on the interior surface. The interior is more smoothed than in exterior and the impressions were likely created as a result of that smoothing process. There are two or three visible organic burnouts on the interior surface, so the impressions may also indicate the chaff covered surface upon which a clay slab was rolled out. In addition to the medium sand noted above, moderate amounts of coarse sand and grit particles are also present in the fabric. Inclusions noticeably perforate all the surfaces in high frequencies, particularly the exterior. Breaks are rough.
