A moderately sized LM vessel rim sherd, likely deriving from a neck-less jar. The rim is significantly eroded, so that it is impossible to measure the shape, form, or diameter. There is a single possible decoration, a small preserved section of a furrow, or more of an indent, running circumferentially on the shoulder. The exterior surface is highly eroded, however, so the furrow in fact be a spall--not enough of the ornament is preserved to conclusively say. The interior rim is also eroded, but the interior shoulder is the best-preserved portion of the fragment. The interior surface is 40% covered in white corrosion and the exterior is 10% covered. The breaks are 50% covered in white corrosion. In addition to the medium sand inclusions noted above, moderate amounts of very coarse sand are also present in the fabric. The breaks show particles of grit as well. Inclusions of all present sizes are visible perforating both surfaces. Breaks are rough.
