S/b fragment from a small LM vessel. The decorative schema consists of at least 6 incised circumferential lines (comb), of varying widths, on the shoulder. The widest is 0.71cm wide and the thinnest is 0.021cm wide. The spacing between the lines is also highly variable. The exterior surface is mottled with Light Brownish Gray 2.5Y 6/2 and the interior surface is mottled with Very Dark Gray Gy1 3/N (or this could be the dominant color). The interior features high-density circumferential rotational striations. The fabric is very compact and well fired--there are possibly three core bands, but there isn't enough actual differentiation to say conclusively. The interior surface is 10% covered in orange corrosion. Breaks are smooth.
