Abrasive tool found under the pithos in the clay basin in T22's locus 16 (the pithos is locus 27). Exact measurements not taken, as it was discovered later after the pithos had been removed, but also after it had lost a good deal of its soil--so exact provenance unknown. 122 g. 8.8 cm long; 4.7 cm wide; 4.1 cm high. It feels like tuff, but it's a whitish color--it could be red tuff with a clay cover?
