This is the locus that lies outside of the central room of T22, around the walls. It was dug out of a uniform gravelly soil, and so was measured to the south and to the east of the central room, shaped as an east-west line between the two trenches with a perpendicular north-south line to the east of the T22 room. It eventually also ran the length of the terrace wall that bounds T20 and T22, before it was split into different loci on the basis of architecture. T22.18 remains only in the area directly to the east of the room, north of the line cut along the terrace wall. The southern line of T22.18 was split into T22.34, T22.35 (a wall), T22.36 (between the wall and the line of rocks that may be a wall), and T22.37, to the east of that line of rocks.
