Large and good quality charcoal sample taken from L02, T27. It was taken at an elevation of 2297.583 m, 0.50 m from the N baulk, 0.60 m from the E baulk. This sample was taken because it was situated just between (and below) the two flat stones in the NE corner of the trench, which seem to be related to the stone box (L03). This sample may help to date the placing of these flat stones, as well as the creation of the stone box. It may also, however, be associated with the destruction layer which appears in the S end of the locus.
