This is a peculiar wood artifact from a small pit (loc. 11) in what appears to be a cultural matrix in T31. The wood appears to have been planed and shaped. That is, it does not appear to be a structural timber but an artifact. Preservation is not terrific but it does hold together enough to see a roughly squarish plan, like a truncated pyramid. Ruben suggested that it might be part of a piece of furniture, such as a chair or table leg. This seems the best suggestion, although others included part of a cart rigging or part of a plow.
