Place: Ar/Ge.T31.43

The matrix in Locus 43 is a medium brown sandy clay loam. There is a circular black stain just west of a semicircular arrangement of stones, which appear to be sunk into the floor, just about where the floor surface ends. North of there, at the end of the wall (locus 46), there is a lens of orange clay (with no inclusions). West of where the floor ends, the matrix has a much higher level of gravel inclusions and is very hard packed in the upper portion of the locus. Just west of the rock fall between walls (locus 25 and locus 46), in the center of the locus, there is a lens of orange matrix with a high level of gravel inclusions. Directly north of this is a lens of orange clay, which also has a large amount of gravel inclusions.

In the SE corner of Locus 43, we found a portion of a groundstone (Ar/Ge.T31.43.L.01) at 2283.98 masl. We found another piece of groundstone (Ar/Ge.T31.43.L.02) south of the walls, at 2283.98 masl. These were found above the level of the floor. On the western edge of the locus, in the center, we found a ceramic disk (Ar/Ge.T31.43.CO.01) at 2283.78 masl.
