Place: Ar/Ge.T31.47

This locus is west of the edge of the LB floor (Locus 31/43) and below Locus 43. The matrix in Locus 47 on the eastern side is a light brown sandy silty loam with a moderate level of gravel inclusions. Towards the middle of the locus, the matrix becomes a medium brown.Underneath the medium brown matrix is more of the light brown matrix, so this locus mostly consists of the medium brown matrix, and this locus was closed once the light brown matrix had been traced out. On the eastern edge of the locus there is a patch of yellow sandy matrix with a high level of gravel inclusions, which might be bedrock. There is also evidence of rodent burrows. Fragments of an EB II beaker came out of the northern part of Locus 47, just west of the large oval stone in Locus 25 (wall).
In the southern half of the locus, we found a large groundstone (Ar/Ge.T31.47.L.01) at 2283.74 masl. On the western side of the locus, in the center, we found half of a ceramic spindle whorl (Ar/Ge.T31.47.CO.01) at2283.58 masl.
