A rim-to-body profile of a small EB pot, covered almost completely by relief decoration. The rim is quite chipped and a significant spall has removed approx. 15% of the interior surface. The decorative schema consists of a single large spiral on the neck, followed by a circumferential furrow at the n/s transition, underlain by another smaller spiral and what is likely a bird ornament on the shoulder and body. Texture indications on the s/b interior transition suggest slab or hand building of some kind. The exterior appears to have been highly polished at some point, with significant amounts of it now abraded off, particularly within each relief decoration. Dense circumferential rotational striations or wipe marks are visible on the interior surface. The exterior is 40% mottled with Gray GY1 5/N. The exterior surface features limited amounts of light brown dendritic accretion. In addition to the fine sand, medium sand inclusions are visible in the fabric. Moderate amounts of mica inclusions are visible perforating both surfaces. Breaks are smooth.
