Remarks

The fish vertebra was intentionally worked into a circular shape and punctured through the center. The hole is 3.51 mm and suggests that this bone was most likely re-purposed as a pendant. Given the form and roughness of the circumference it is clear that the bone is not itself complete. The size of the vertebra suggests that this was from a catfish. This is particularly interesting because to date the only catfish bones discovered at Gegharot have been from LB, rather than EB contexts.
