This lithic artifact uncovered in the fill of locus 22, the tomb context seems to be a broken stone disk or pendant. While it is difficult to determine what type of stone it is from, it seems possible that this smooth stone is granite with pyrite inclusions although it is hard to say for certain. The object is thin, only 9.83mm in breadth and shows clear signs of work around its edges. Perpendicular to the flat faces there are clear signs of striking likely in an effort to give the object its round form. Though the producers succeeded, the edges are not smooth but have a slight jagged appearance. The disk is broken. Based on the curvature it seems that we have about half of it. While the object is a grayish beige on the surface, it is more of a gray on its interior. While there is no overt sign that it was punctured, the context and overall morphology of the object cannot rule pendant out of the realm of possibilities.
