This earring was found in association with skull 43, immediately to the south of the cranium. While the artifact broke upon removing it from its in situ position, it was a spiral shape -- conventionally of other KA jewelry including Ar/Ge.T38.06.M.01, the ring uncovered in this unit. Of interest, the earring does not appear to have been made of bronze. It is a dark bluish brown color and the interior appears to be an ivory color. This suggests that it was made from antimony. Given the clear association with the skull it is surprising that we only found a single earring. Given the presence of multiple individuals inside and outside of the tomb -- and likelihood of re-opening events -- we cannot rule the fact that they object necessarily entered the chamber with this particular individual.
