This white bead was found amidst the skeletal remains in locus 22. It has a small hole pierced through the center and was likely a constituent part of a necklace, based on what is known about EB jewelry. The bead is round in form, but is more of an oblate spheroid than a circle. While we are classifying the artifact under "paste" it is likely lithic and made from serpentine or fossilized coral. Since we only uncovered one bead, it seems plausible that it either entered the tomb in the alluvial deposit or more likely, it entered or was left during an opening episode. Given the spherical morphology of the artifact, I used "length" to signify the bead's diameter and "height" to signify its breadth.
