This andiron fragment could be a leg (oriented down) or decorative component (oriented upwards as in the small horseshoe form andirons). The fragment is triangular in form and only broken on one side where the piece would have connected to the rest of the object. There is a narrow end that is 19.03mm in width (although it is slightly chipped) and gets increasingly wider throughout the body of the object 46.41mm where the object is broken.
