Locus 09 consisted of more light colored, very small-rock-filled, soil. We cleaned carefully around some more small rocks that were also suspended and could be taken out as they we're not near any other rocks, or sitting on top of any. This locus revealed deteriorating tuf along the NW wall as well as a distinct soil change in the N corner of the trench. This soil change was a white pure clay. The light clay soil and the deteriorating tuf met along the NW wall. Less obsidian was also present in this Locus.
