A very thin-walled LB jar with an approx. 6-line comb decoration on the upper shoulder and a single furrow, 0.28cm wide, on the lower shoulder. The exterior is polished throughout with numerous visible circumferential polishing marks, horizontal, are visible on the surface. The body portion of the vessel features vertical polish ornaments which descend from the middle of the body to the edge of the base. The rim is barely suggested after the short neck, almost unfinished in its subtle expression. Pyrite particles are visible perforating both the interior and exterior surfaces as well as the coarse sand inclusions. The external surface is mottled with light yellowish brown shades, mostly on the body portion. The internal surface color designations are only tentative as the restored vessel doesn't allow enough light onto the interior surface. The base is highly abraded and rough. 90% of the original vessel material is present after restoration. Coded w/AFG. 08.2102008. w/AFG. Needs restoration.
