A wide-shouldered, squat LB jar, with a very short neck. The lower shoulder portion, above the b/s break, is convered with a two-part decorative schema: 2 comb-made wavy lines sometimes 3 in places, followed by 10 comb-made striaght circumferential lines. It appears as if the wavy lines were rendered first, as the straight ones overlap the wavy in different places. Exterior is dominanted by Black GY1 2.5N, but significantly mottled with Dark Gray 2.5Y 4/1. 8.21.2008. The entire exterior is polished, but less is preserved on the shoulder than on the body and base. The shoulder and upper body features horizontal polish marks, while the lower body hosts vertical polish marks which reach all the way to the body/base transition (no polish on the base). The base has a slight lip or indent where it transitions to the body. Although the above mentioned medium sand is the predominant inclusion, coarse sand grains are also visible in the fabric. Coding began with AFG on 2008-08-21 and was finished on 2008-11-26 after restoration.
